Memorandum of Wishes
You may have a number of lower value items of sentimental value, or family heirlooms you wish to leave to specific people!
A Memorandum of Wishes allows you to make less formal gifts of any items owned by you that have not already been named for a specific beneficiary in your Will.
Such items should individually be worth less than £500 and could include jewellery, clothes and household items, but, cannot include land, property, money, businesses, or investments.
If you feel there might be a need to make changes in future, a reference to the Memorandum can be made in your Will, whist you retain the document; thus allowing you to edit the provisions more easily. You will just need to keep it safe and let your Executor(s) know where to find it.
