Single Wills
A single Will is ideal for someone who has been widowed, is not married, or in a civil partnership.
This enables you to detail any gifts of personal items, or bequests of money, for specific individuals/organisations.
It allows you to include your children or any other named beneficiary of your estate, either in equal shares, or in chosen percentages.
A single Will can also be used to leave your estate to a favourite charity, if, for instance, you have no surviving relatives.
If you are a parent with children under the age of 18, it is advisable to appoint a guardian for your children. If you don’t, it may be left for a court to decide who should care for them in the event of your death, which could lead to strangers being appointed, rather than family or friends. In addition to stand alone Wills, Whitebrook Legal Services also offer a range of Comprehensive Protection Plan packages which can offer a significant saving when compared with the price of individual elements being purchased separately, over time.
